We got Claire's medical update on Friday. She will be 7 mths old on Wed, and she weighs 16 lbs. She is 25 inches long. She seems to be doing very well, but we are VERY ready for her to be home.
To celebrate TET, the Vietnamese New Year, we went to an authentic Vietnamese restraunt Firday evening. There were lots of things for the boys to do. They had traditional Vietnamese candy, games for the boys, and a dancing dragon. The entertainment was great. We ordered shrimp fried rice, and chicken fried rice, and a bowl of Pho. Garrett and I realized that we will not starve while we are traveling. The boys on the other hand.........well we stopped at McDonalds after we left. Thank God for happy meals!
We are once again iced in today. School is out and Garrett and I are spending the day with the boys. This time roads are bad, and we are expected to get more ice this evening. Not sure we will even have school tomorrow.
We are hoping to hear something this week about Claire. We will let you know when we do.

Thank You
Thank you so much to all of those people who have been such a huge blessing to us. We know that we would not be where we are today if it were not for you all. We are so blessed.

LOL, you will not starve in Vietnam. The food there is AMAZING!
As for your boys.(I hope I am not over stepping but felt it needed to be said) I would think long and heard about taking them. As one who has gone before I totally understand now why Dillon is so adement(sp?)about families not bring extra children/friends/family. As incredible a trip as it was I can not imagine it with little ones in tow. Plus, it is such an indescribable blessing that first 2 weeks to just be you and your new little one with no distractions. Just some food for though.
Oh no, we have no intentions of taking our boys. We were simply talking about when we took them to the Vietnamese restaurant. I can't imagine making that trip with our boy's at their ages.
Yes, our 2 weeks in Vietnam will be spent bonding with Claire, and trust me it will ALL be about her. However, we will not be able to wait to have ALL of our family together.
We are excited to try authentic Vietnamese food. (Also, really glad to hear there is a KFC and Pizza Hut):)
Garrett
sounds like you had a great Tet. At my Tet party all the kids started asking when we were ordering the pizza.... I should have planned for that one.
Oh, and the KFC across from the REX is way better then KFC here for some odd reason. I wish the KFCs here were as goodas that one lol.
Happy birhtday Claire! I can't wait to hear that you're home with your family. And congrats on already hitting 16 pounds! Phoebe just hit that mark a couple of weeks ago and she's one :) We're trying to give her cute little chubby cheeks and legs like yours, but no luck so far. Hee hee!
