I woke up this morning to find an e-mail from another family who is in Vietnam this week. (Dawn and Jason) They are picking up their daughter Lily from the same orphanage that Claire is in. They have been able to be with Claire for the past few days. They were able to get pictures and video of her. We are SO excited. We so appreciate them, and hope that we can do this for others when we are there to get Claire.
The email said that Claire is beautiful, quiet, serious, and has a wonderful smile. Dawn also said that she has not been able to hold Claire because every time they are there, the nannies are holding her. She said it seems that they are very partial to Claire. That is an answer to prayer! We will let you know when we get pictures and video, and will post them so you can see them too.
Everyone here is doing well. We enjoyed a day off this week due to ice. I am keeping myself busy in the evenings by painting the basement. We have not heard anything new about travel, and as far as we know we are still headed to Vietnam the third or fourth week of Feb.

Claire is special! I really enjoyed playing with her and seeing her beautiful smile and sparkle! You are in for a charismatic child! I just wanted to hug her to pieces!

Isn't it wonderful to hear 'first hand' from someone you 'know' that your baby is well-loved and adorable? We were lucky enough to have three reports while we were waiting for Phoebe to come home and those personal experiences make all the difference!
